Your Initial Appointment

What to expect

Every effort is made to see patients as soon as possible. There is a waitlist to be seen by Dr Sime, however urgent appointments are available if required.

Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled consultation so that you can fill out a new patient questionnaire.

Please ensure you bring the following to your appointment:

  • Referral letter from your GP or other medical specialist

  • Medicare card

  • Private health insurance details or TAC/Workcover claim number (if applicable)

  • Copy of all imaging studies that you have had performed

    • X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound

Consultations will incur an out of pocket fee, and payment is required at the time of the consultation. If you qualify for a Medicare rebate, this amount will be refunded by Medicare.

If surgery is recommended, a quote will be provided to you. Depending on your insurer and level of cover, your private health insurance will often cover most of the cost. If you have DVA insurance, or is related to an approved TAC or WorkCover claim, there will be no gap for any surgery you may require.
